We are thrilled to welcome you to the 2020 GIRLS LACROSSE SEASON! All teams are a competitive level with high expectations placed on each player. As outlined in the Code of Conduct and Athletic Handbook, players are expected to be on time to each practice, ready to work, learn, contribute and participate with their teammates.

COMPLETE REGISTRATION: If you have not made this season’s registration donation of $350, please plan to bring a check or credit card to the parent meeting on Tuesday. You can also pay for other season expenses, like your player’s spirit pack and the fundraiser raffle. Spirit packs will be available at the parent meeting.
UNIFORMS: This year Varsity team members only have the opportunity to purchase and own their uniform! This is optional and not required to be issued a uniform. Players who purchase their uniforms do not turn them in at the end of the season; rather they keep them and their jersey number for the duration of their time at GBHS Girls Lacrosse. If you wish to purchase a uniform, please contact Cami Kappos to receive number and size availability.
RAFFLE TICKET FUNDRAISER: Lacrosse at GBHS is almost completely self-funded, and we receive no in-season district funding for our program. Your donation is critically important to the success of our program. As such, over and above our base donation and equipment, players are expected to help fundraise to be able to participate in this sport. We will be selling raffle tickets again this year as our biggest source of income for our program. There is no opt-out payment for raffle sales, as this can be a zero cost activity for families. All players are expected to participate and will receive raffle tickets in exchange for their $200 payment. If you do not wish to sell your tickets (paying yourself back in full), keep the tickets for yourself for a chance to win! We have some amazing prizes this year, including an Apple watch, Airpods, Disney parkhopper tickets, SAT/ACT prep sessions and more!
MANDATORY PLAYER/PARENT MEETING: We look forward to seeing you at the player/parent meeting immediately following practice on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18 at 7:00pm in the GBHS LIBRARY. Meet your coaches, get key information about the season, and complete any payments for outstanding donations.
PRACTICES: Practices start immediately and run Monday through Friday from 5:00-7:00pm. Rostered players are expected to be available for the full two hours of every practice. Our current game schedule is listed on the Varsity and JV team pages, along with rosters and contact information. You can also view this information in the SportsEngine app!
SPRING BREAK TRIP (Varsity only): As we did last season, the varsity team will be traveling to Orange County over spring break. All rostered varsity players are expected to participate. We anticipate the trip will take place from Sunday, April 5 through Tuesday, April 7. There are games scheduled on Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7. More information to come at the parent meeting!
