Clinic Dates and Times

GBHS will hold Clinic Days on 5/4 and 5/5 at GBHS in preparation for Tryouts.  Clinics are designed to get athletes ready for tryouts by teaching the tryout chant and dance.  Athletes should work on their tumbling on their own to be able to demonstrate their skills during tryouts.

Tryouts

GBHS will hold tryouts on 5/6.  Athletes will perform chant, dance, jumps and tumbling.  Although coaches will be present, tryouts will be judged by independent judges and results will be posted on this Tryout page.  A minimum score must be earned to make the team.  If you make JV or Varsity you will be invited to register for the season, attend the uniform fitting  and the Parent/Athlete meeting.

welcome message

Welcome to the Granite Bay High School Sideline Cheer Season!

The Cheer Booster Club is run by parent volunteers and is a sub-booster account under the GBHS Master Boosters which is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.  Our mission is to support the GBHS Sideline Cheer and STUNT programs, facilitating opportunities for your student athletes to create memories as a GBHS Cheerleader - and finds ways to fund those opportunities.  We support the coaches with the operations of Cheer so they can concentrate on coaching your student athletes.

As a Cheer parent, you are a member of the Booster Club.  Member volunteers are crucial to the success of the GBHS Cheer program.  There are many ways to volunteer with a small portion of time.  Opportunities include meals on game days, event chairs and committee members.  As opposed to other teams we do not require families to work a prescribed number of shifts during the season.  Volunteer sign-ups will take place on your team’s Parent night.

A primary responsibility of the Booster Club is fundraising.  We work to raise the difference between what the school is able to contribute and what is actually needed, financially, to run a successful, winning program for your student athletes.   The Booster Club raises funds through the following:

  • Parent Donations
  • Grizzly Wear
  • Sponsorships
  • Off site fundraisers with local businesses (like dining out)

100% of fundraising dollars are applied to the Cheer Booster Club operating budget.

Thank you in advance for your support.  We hope that you will continue to support GBHS Athletics however you can.  If you have any questions regarding donations, fundraising or volunteering with the Cheer Booster Club, please contact one of our board members through our website at www.grizzlypride.com.
